International Lam Research Conference

The 2025 International LAM Research Conference & LAMposium is The LAM Foundation’s marquee event, which includes a state-of-the-art scientific meeting and a dedicated patient and family conference. This year’s event in Kansas City will continue the highly successful format of blending patient and family participation with leading edge discussions about basic and translational advances in LAM research. We look forward to welcoming attendees from around the world to this important conference that celebrates the research innovation, courage, and resilience of the LAM community as we strive to find better treatments, and ultimately a cure, for LAM.

Scientific presentations and panel discussions led by international content experts will provide a forum to discuss the molecular and cellular basis of LAM, present leading-edge research, integrate concepts, identify creative and innovative research directions, recruit promising junior investigators, and pave the way for future advancements and discoveries in LAM.

This year’s research conference is being co-chaired by Elizabeth Petri Henske, MD, PhD, from Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and Simon Johnson, DM, FRCP, from the University of Nottingham, Queens Medical Center.

The poster session will be chaired by Charilaos (Harry) Filippakis, PhD, from the University of New England. The conference will be dynamic with ample time for Q&A, discussion, and networking opportunities.

The scientific sessions will cover broad facets of LAM science including recent exciting advances in single cell RNA sequencing, estrogen signaling, lymphatic biology, and other metabolic processes relevant to LAM. In addition, future direction related to hormonal involvement and improving clinical trial designs to accelerate translation in LAM will be explored in panel-based discussions.
