The 2022 International LAM Research Conference & LAMposium is The LAM Foundation’s marquee event, which includes a state-of-the-art scientific meeting alongside a dedicated patient and family conference. This year’s event in Chicago will continue the highly successful format of blending patient and family participation with leading-edge discussions about basic and translational advances in LAM research. The 2022 International LAM Research Conference & LAMposium is the first gathering of the LAM community since 2018. We look forward to welcoming attendees from around the world to this important conference that celebrates the research innovation, courage, and resilience of the LAM community as we strive to find better treatments, and ultimately a cure, for LAM.

The aims of the 2022 International LAM Research Conference are:

  1. Review exciting advances in lymphatic biology, imaging techniques, single-cell RNA sequencing, estrogen/uterine signaling, immunotherapy, and metabolic processes relevant to LAM.
  2. Provide a forum for LAM Clinic Directors to promote best practices and refine LAM Guidelines, discuss difficult cases, and design innovative clinical trials to assess novel therapies in LAM.
  3. Set the stage for sustainable scientific progress in LAM by encouraging and nurturing the ECRs.
  4. Refine our approaches to full immersion and integration of patients, families, and friends into all facets of the symposium and prioritize research that will favorably impact patient outcomes.
