The 2025 International LAM Research Conference & LAMposium is The LAM Foundation’s marquee event, which includes a state-of-the-art scientific meeting and a dedicated patient and family conference. This year’s event in Kansas City will continue the highly successful format of blending patient and family participation with leading-edge discussions about basic and translational advances in LAM research. The 2025 International LAM Research Conference & LAMposium will celebrate The LAM Foundation’s 30th anniversary.

We look forward to welcoming attendees from around the world to this important conference, which will celebrate the LAM community’s research innovation, courage, and resilience as we strive to find better treatments and, ultimately, a cure for LAM.

The aims of the 2025 International LAM Research Conference are to:

  1. Bring together our LAM communities to inspire patient-centered research and high-quality comprehensive care for patients
  2. Review exciting advances in lymphatic biology, imaging techniques, single-cell RNA sequencing, estrogen/uterine signaling, immunotherapy, and metabolic processes relevant to LAM
  3. Provide a forum for LAM Clinic Directors from our worldwide network to learn from each other, promote best practices, refine LAM Guidelines, discuss difficult cases, and design innovative clinical trials to assess novel therapies in LAM
  4. Set the stage for sustainable scientific progress in LAM by encouraging and nurturing early career researchers
  5. Raise the funds necessary to accelerate innovative research while celebrating The LAM Foundation’s 30th anniversary

The conference arrival registration table opens late afternoon on Thursday, September 25 allowing you to experience the full schedule of workshops, panel presentations, and plenary sessions.

2025 International LAM Research Conference
Begins 8 am Friday, September 26 – Ends 10 am Sunday, September 28

Scientific presentations and panel discussions led by international content experts will provide a forum to discuss the molecular and cellular basis of LAM, present leading-edge research, integrate concepts, identify creative and innovative research directions, recruit promising junior investigators, and pave the way for future advancements and discoveries in LAM.

This year’s research conference is being co-chaired by Elizabeth Petri Henske, MD, PhD, from Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and Simon Johnson, DM, FRCP, from the University of Nottingham, Queens Medical Center.

LAMposium Patient & Family Educational Conference
Begins 9 am Friday, September 26 – Ends 10 am Sunday, September 28
The two fully programmed days feature educational sessions covering a broad range of interests for patients and families affected by LAM.
Wine & Cheese Poster Reception
Friday, September 26
This lively social reception caps the first full day of the conference while highlighting current LAM research projects, providing a platform for researchers to present their work and mingle with fellow professional attendees and patients alike. 2025 Poster Chair is Charilaos (Harry) Filippakis,PhD, from the University of New England.
Early Career Researchers Happy Hour

Early Career Researchers will gather for this casual, hosted happy hour, to promote scientific exchange, getting to know colleagues and peers, and fostering collaboration among the next generation of LAM scientists.
LAM Clinic Director Congress
Friday, September 26

The LAM Clinic Director Congress is chaired by the co-chairs of the Clinical Advisory Board. Attendees will convene over a meal to meet the clinicians of the Kansas City LAM clinic, engage in discussions on challenging cases and clinical practice guidelines, and set priorities for continued improvement and innovation of the LAM Clinic Network.
Breath of Hope Gala
Saturday, September 27
The Breath of Hope Gala is the LAM Foundation’s largest annual fundraiser for research. Attendees include individuals with LAM, their families and friends, and the scientific and medical LAM community from around the globe. This formal wear event is a highlight of the conference and complementary to all registrants.
